Maternity shoot :::L:::

 It's been a really long time since I have posted pictures. And I LOVE picture taking. These are a few of my beautiful sister in law that I took about a week ago in a flower field before it got cold. We started rapidly losing light before we got finished, but we are going to do a few more when my brother can be present as well. Isn't she gorgeous?!?

I can't wait to get into all the photos people are asking me to take. And then this little baby girl will be here and I'll have another newborn shoot!

I know, it's taken me absolutely forever to get around to this. But here are some of my favorites, finally!!  These are of my bestie Jennie, and I must say, pregnancy suits her!

Photo Challenge: Favorite from March

It is incredibly hard for me to pick my favorite photo from this month. I sure have some adorable shots from this month. For me it is a tie. It's between this one:

And this one:

The first one means so much to me, because Camden is sitting on the lap of my almost 94 year old Granddaddy. The fact that he has a Great Granddaddy to take pictures with is beyond amazing. Camden humored me and sat in his lap for quite a bit when we went to go visit, and I got quite a few shots of the two of them. Honestly? That made my week.

The other picture that I love is the second one. His face says it all in that shot, and he's pointing right at me. That tow headed boy with those chubby cheeks, blue eyes and little hands pointing at me, makes me mushy. I'm so lucky that he's mine!

Photo Challenge: From Above

I interpreted this challenge a little different than most. It seems most people took a picture from high up looking down on their subject. I chose a photo of my subject looking from above, over a fence to the neighbors' dogs while mimicking them with an adorable 'woo woo'. One of his favorite things it checking out what is making that noise on the other side of the fence. He is so observant now, always hearing the dogs as soon as we step out the back door and 'woo'fing back at them. Even though peeking over the fence sends most dogs into a tizzy, he finds it fascinating to watch. Thank goodness for Daddy that can help provide the view!

Favorite Photo From January

I took a lot of photos I really liked in January. Camden with his first sucker, a giant bruise, blowing big bubbles and actually holding still and grinning at the camera.

{look at that grin! So cute!} I don't think people realize how hard it is to get a 17 month old kid to hold still, smile and look at the camera. A feat that is pretty much impossible!

But of all the photos I took? That's not the favorite.

This one is my favorite.

Just those tiny precious feet. Those feet that are generally always moving, running, climbing. I snapped this picture real quick - almost on accident in between him pushing his cart and begging for "buh-bulhs" and waiting on Dad to get home. These are the feet have grown so much since he was born; the feet that can now hold him up as pigeon toed as they may be, the feet that are still as ticklish as ever.

It is so much my favorite that I ordered it in an 8x10 size from MPix in a metallic print, and I am going to put it on the frame and hang in the living room as art.

I love those precious feet. :)

Poor Little Lion...

The cutest lion I ever did see! This was the best photo I took of him in his Halloween costume because we were feverish and went to bed early on Halloween. He spent Wednesday/Thursday at home because of sickness and was back at daycare Friday, acting fine. I had grand plans to put him in his costume this weekend and take some more pictures.

Well, boyfriend decided to get sick AGAIN Friday night. He proceeded to throw up his dinner which was spaghetti and strawberries for dessert. Lemme tell ya, that was pink. And stinky. We were up all night dry heaving and throwing up. Poor thing. We were just barely asleep when the Earthquake hit. That's right! Oklahoma where we are known for our tornadoes, has felt the earth move under our feet more times in the past year than I have in my entire life. (This is the second earthquake of this size in a year!) I think they said it was a 4.7.

Anyway, we spent most of today sleeping, eating crackers, and drinking Pedialyte. Fingers crossed that we are on the mend so we can play in our Halloween costume a little more!

Faces.

The challenge this week at Paper Mama is Faces. I don't always plan to enter or participate, but I happened to snap a picture this past week of Camden in his fussy mood. He's finally cutting his two top teeth and it has been a bit of a rough go around here. Sleepless nights came back to visit and this time is was NOT because of the ears or any other sickness, so I know it was teeth!

Maybe it's my imagination but I swear I can see his lumpy gums under his lip. Poor guy.

GO POKES!!

This is the cute little face I get when he wants something. In fact, I took this shooting down towards my feet. The little munchkin has his arms wrapped around my legs and he usually begs to be picked up or fed whatever it may be that I am eating. I love that feeling of having a little one run to your legs and cling to them. Priceless.

I had a cute picture of Pearl too, but now I can't find it. I'll work on that.
