Do you know what this is?

So looking at this, do you know what this is?

Okay, I'm sure you do. It's the spring to our garage door. Can you tell what's wrong with it? Yup, it's broken.

Do you have any idea what it sounds like when it breaks? In the middle of the night, when you're sleeping?

I do. And it isn't fun! It was SO loud, I thought someone had driven through our garage door.

Chris was still up so he checked it out and then reported back to me what it was.

Have I told you what I've been doing lately? Well, I worked five days last week, then on Saturday I drove to God's Country (for those of you that don't know, that would be the town that houses THE best STATE college) for an all day Saturday conference to get more CEU's so I can keep my certification when it comes due in May. I was originally scheduled to have Sunday off too - but I asked a fellow co-worker to switch me. Our church is opening a brand new campus nearby and we are part of the core group. We are SO super stoked about it - and we went to the meeting and found out it was supposed to open on the weekend I was supposed to work. FAIL! So, a sweet co-worker kindly offered to switch me so I could be off NEXT Sunday. Therefore I worked almost 7 straight days (A conference is like work, right?) With one day off, before working five more.

And guess what I get to do on that one day off?

Get the garage door fixed. At least I am off that day to deal with it. God always has a plan!

  1. Why does loud, random stuff always break in the middle of the night instead of the middle of the day when, you know, you actually use it?? Where is the new LC campus? That is exciting!

  2. Loud things never happen while you are at home, during the day. I should know. I experience the silence all the time. :)

PS, you should follow my blog since you and Jennie made me do it...just saying... :)
